Young age of Prophet Muhammad PBUH

Prophet Muhammad PBUH grew up to a young man and he was 25 years of age, still living with his paternal uncle Hazrat Abu Talib, but Prophet Muhammad PBUH was taking care of his own expenses and also looking after the affairs of his paternal uncles family. Due to the fact that Hazrat Abu Talib was very poor and had many children, there was always poverty in their family. Due to this, one day Hazrat Abu Talib came to Prophet Muhammad PBUH and informed him, my dear nephew, you are well aware that we are living in tough times and we are not inherited with any business or any other source of income from which we can lead a peaceful life. Hazrat Abu Talib also informed Prophet Muhammad PBUH that one of the tribes from our community have now planned to go to Syria for trading and this caravan is being sent by Hazrat Bibi Khateeja bint Khuwaylid. (RA), if Prophet Muhammad PBUH will take part in this trade, then it shall bring some relief to the poverty being faced. When Prophet Muhammad PBUH listened to this from his paternal Uncle, he agreed and said if Bibi Khadeeja (R.A) bint Khuwaylid will summon then he shall go and meet her.

Hazrat Bibi Khadeja bint Khuwaylid (Radi Allahu Anha (R.A)) was one of the richest and most respectable woman in Makkah, she was a widow, she had married two times before and both of her husband (s) were already dead, and as such all the wealth of Hazrat Bibi Khadeeja (R.A) husband(s) were inherited by her. Hazrat Bibi Khadeeja (R.A) was a very pious and beautiful lady that that every man in Makkah wanted to marry her, and also of the fact that she belonged to one of the respectable tribes of Makkah, many had sent her marriage proposals. Hazrat Bibi Khadeeja (R.A) did not accept any of the proposals, as she was well aware that all of the proposals were only eyeing on her wealth. Instead she concentrated on her business. Hazrat Bibi Khadeeja (R.A)  sent traders on her behalf to various places to carry out business, in turn she would give them a portion of the profit or pay them as per their agreement. Hazrat Bibi Khadeeja (R.A) was also known as Tahira an alias name given to her by the people of Makkah for her being pure and gentle and pious.

This year also Hazrat Bibi Khadeeja (R.A) was planning to send a trading caravan to Syria, when Hazrat Abu Talib came to know about this, he immediately rushed to Prophet Muhammad  PBUH and informed him about this. When Prophet Muhammad PBUH agreed to go with the caravan and insisted to his paternal uncle Hazrat Abu Talib, that if Hazrat Bibi Khadeeja (R.A) would summon him then he will go with the caravan. This conversation was overheard by some and that person informed Hazrat Bibi Khadeeja (R.A) about the willingness of Prophet Muhammad PBUH to proceed with the caravan. When Hazrat Bibi Khadeeja (R.A) learnt that Prophet Muhammad PBUH, the Ameen, whose fame is all across Makakh for being the trustworthy a respectable person in all the tribes of Makkah is willing to go with the caravan to Syria, she summoned Prophet Muhammad PBUH and informed Prophet Muhammad PBUH that every single person in Makkah be it a child or a man is well aware of you and your fame of being trustworthy. It would be an honour if Prophet Muhammad PBUH would be willing to lead the caravan to Syria and Hazrat Bibi Khadeeja (R.A) also informed Prophet Muhammad PBUH that she shall pay him two times the amount of profit earned from the business. When Prohphet Muhammad PBUH learnt this, he agreed to go to Syria and lead the caravan. When the time for the caravan to move to Syria came, Hazrat Bibi Hazrat Khadeeja (R.A) summoned one of her servant (s) named Maisoorah to accompany the Prophet Muhammad PBUH and also instructed to have a watch on him and do not question on his dealings/ affairs.

A DEPICTION OF CARAVAN

When the caravan was about to move, Hazrat Abu Talib was very much pained as he was aware of the fact that when he took Prophet Muhammad PBUH to Syria when he was young, a monk named Bahira had instructed him to take care of his nephew and never bring him back to Syria as there are many who will see the signs of his prophethood and will be thirsty to kill him, this thought made Hazrat Abu Talib very sad and he said to Prophet Muhammad PBUH, that if the condition of the family is not worse he would have never allowed his beloved nephew to go with the caravan.

Hazrat Abu Talib accompanied the caravan to a very long distance from Makkah as he was not fully happy to send Prophet Muhammad PBUH knowing the amount of risk he will encounter in Syria. However with a hard heart, Hazrat Abu Talib had to bid farewell to Prophet Muhammad PBUH and the caravan and came back to Makkah. When the caravan was moving a cloud surrounded Prophet Muhammad PBUH like as if it is providing shade to him from the soaring heat of the sun, like earlier when he travelled to Syria during his young age.

After a traveling for many days the caravan entered the city of Basra and the caravan encamped their tents in a place near the market area in Basra, where they would normally encamp themselves during their visit. Prophet Muhammad PBUH went down to a tree nearby to take rest and sat down beneath that tree. The place where the caravan was encamped, there was a Church located nearby and one of the priests of the Church named Nasthoor when he saw the caravan he came down to see them. Maisoora, the slave of Bibi Khadeeja (R.A) was well aware of the Priest as they use to come regularly to this place. After greeting each other Nasthoor enquired who is this person sitting under the tree, to this Maisoora said that he is one of the person of the tribe of Quraish from Makkah, to this Nasthoor said that only a prophet can sit under this tree as it has been prophesied by  Hazrat Esa bin Maryam (AS).

During the course of journey to Syria, Prophet Muhammad PBUH never considered Maisoora as servant instead Prophet Muhammad PBUH use to talk to him and ask him about the places they were passing by, Prophet Muhammad PBUH sat together with the every one and along with Maisoora to have meals, to discuss on any issue. Maisoora was very much delighted by the humbleness of Prophet Muhammad PBUH as so far in his life, none of the leader of the caravan, or any person from the tribe of Quraish ever mingled with them so freely and respected them. Maisorra was also amazed by the fact that he was given importance in all the affairs like he never had been bestowed before, that he started feeling that he is a very close friend of Prophet Muhammad PBUH.

Such was the humble nature of Prophet Muhammad PBUH that he always held every one high and never let any one down. When the trade was over and a good profit was accumulated from the trade in Syria, Prophet Muhammad PBUH suggested to Maisoora, what will be the use of the money which we are taking back to Makkah, instead it would be better that we buy some good articles of value which will interest the people of Makkah and sell them back in Makkah. Again, Maisoora was very much delighted by the talent of Prophet Muhammad PBUH and the traders bought goods worth of being sold back in Makkah. When the caravan reached Makakh, the items bought from Syria were sold in good price and every one of them earned a double profit out of this business.

Hazrat Bibi Khadeeja (R.A) when learnt that a young man who has never been in the business has taken the business dealing in such height  that all other businessmen were way back when compared to Prophet Muhammad PBUH. Hazrat Bibi Khadeeja (RA) was very much impressed by Prophet Muhammad PBUH and was very eager to know more about Prophet Muhammad PBUH and his dealings in Syria, hence Hazrat Bibi Khadeeja (R.A) summoned her slave Maisoora.
